Mike Robinson graduated with Honors from The University of Akron where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology. Later, he earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy from The Ohio University, where he discovered his passion for treating runners and athletes. During his time there, he assisted in physical therapy data collection for the NCAA division I cross country athletes and completed his first clinical rotation with Ohio University’s sports medicine team. Through the program with Ohio University, Mike became certified in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (Part A) and Graston Therapy Technique. Additionally, he received additional instruction in treatment of the running athlete and vestibular rehabilitation.
Since becoming a Doctor of Physical therapy, Mike has continued to grow as a clinician. He became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist in 2021 and then a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy in 2022. Currently, he is continuing his journey as a Fellow in Training with Regis University studying Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy.
Mike also has a specific interest in bike fit and treating the cycling athlete. Mike is a passionate and thoughtful clinician who encourages his patients to reach their maximum potential. He uses a combination of hands-on treatments, exercise, and education to help his clients reach their goals. Outside of the clinic, Mike loves running, biking, hiking, and weightlifting - typically with his wife Rachel and their dog Poppy.
